Hopkinton Today: Thursday, June 23

by | Jun 23, 2022 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.

At Tuesday’s Planning Board meeting, members shared ideas about what to do with the vacant Center School and property at 11 Ash Street, across from the Town Common, with all in agreement that whatever the future holds for the property, it must be in the best interest of the town.

This week’s edition of the Police Log includes reports of a counterfeit bill, a deer head in a resident’s front yard and youths loitering and disrupting businesses on Main Street.

Project Just Because will host a fundraising golf tournament on Monday, July 11, at Hopkinton Country Club. The event starts at 8 a.m. and will include a continental breakfast, 18 holes of golf, dinner, raffles and a silent auction, with the proceeds going to the families served by PJB.

Town meetings tonight include the Climate Action Work Group of the Sustainable Green Committee (5), School Committee (6:30) and Community Preservation Committee (7).
