There is some sad news from the running community, as Bryan Lyons, a dentist from Billerica who had taken over for Dick Hoyt and pushed Rick Hoyt in his wheelchair in the Boston Marathon since 2015, died earlier this week. According to a tweet from Dick Hoyt, Lyons died in his sleep. He was 50.
The Independent asked all candidates for town positions to fill out a questionnaire, and we’ve got the responses here. The Town Election is June 29. Click here to access an absentee ballot.
The Hopkinton Military History Essay Contest announced its winners. First place went to Hopkinton High School senior Tim Fargiano, and you can read his essay here.
Baypath Humane Society’s Fur Ball fundraising event was canceled this year, but the Fur Ball online auction is up and running. It began yesterday and ends June 17.
