Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
Nearly two years after nixing a plan to use herbicides to treat weeds in Lake Maspenock, and after voters at a previous Town Meeting also voted it down, the Conservation Commission on Tuesday night took up a revised plan from the Department of Public Works.
Boston activist Monica Cannon-Grant, who led a rally at Hopkinton Town Common last May following the death of teenager Mikayla Miller, was arrested Tuesday and indicted on charges that she and her husband defrauded donors to her nonprofit, Violence in Boston.
The latest edition of the Police Log includes reports of trees falling on wires (apparently due to heavy winds), a break-in and theft on Saddle Hill Road, and numerous dogs running loose in the street.
Town meetings tonight include the School Committee (7).
