Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.

The Upper Charles Trail Committee tried to get back on track at its meeting Wednesday night and revisited the debate over which option would be preferred to get from Milford to the Marathon School area.

The Hopkinton High School girls basketball team opened postseason play by crushing visiting Malden, 61-29, on Wednesday in a Division 1 preliminary round game.

This week’s edition of the Police Log includes reports of a catalytic converter theft, a resident being bitten by a neighbor’s dog and an unwelcome home visit from missionaries.

Town meetings tonight include the School Committee (6:30), Cemetery Commission (6:30) and Open Space Preservation Commission (7).
