Leading off this week’s Independent Thoughts, the Hopkinton Health Department is sponsoring a monthly program at the Hopkinton Public Library to train individuals on the use of Narcan, a medication that can help an individual recover from an overdose of opioids.

About 25 volunteers showed up to help pick up trash around town at the Hop Yellow Bag Day event on Sunday, and we have photos.

Leading off the latest College Honors roundup, MassBay Community College esports participant Blake Briner received recognition for his achievement in the classroom.

This week’s Senior Snippets includes information on the MCOA Walk Massachusetts Challenge, Cultural Conversations and Art Appreciation.

Town meetings tonight include the Board of Assessors (5:30), Select Board (6), Tax Relief Committee (6) and Historical Commission (7).
