When the pandemic hit in 2020, Hopkinton’s Barrett Hanlon was looking for something to do to keep up with his competitive nature. “I just kind of started getting into the sport [of boxing] and started competing,” he said. “I just fell in love with the sport.” He went on to compete in the New England Golden Gloves this year, losing in the All-New England final.
Coming off an appearance in the state tournament and a second-place finish in the Tri-Valley League Large School Division, the Hopkinton High School boys basketball team has an experienced and scrappy group ready to make another run at the postseason.
