by | Feb 21, 2023 | Featured: Features,

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.

A tractor-trailer burst into flames Monday night on Interstate 495 in Hopkinton, and an explosion could be heard for miles.

Kaizar Rangwala and Jacob Dold, two Hopkinton High School sophomores, were named state champions in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition and have advanced to the national-level competition.

The latest College Honors highlights local students who were recognized for academic success at Fairfield, Quinnipiac, Endicott and many other schools.

This week’s Library Corner includes information on the Frayed Knot Fiber Arts Circle, multiple author talks and a Red Cross blood drive.

HopSwap, an annual community-wide tag sale, will be held Saturday, March 18, from 9 a.m.-noon at the Hopkinton High School cafeteria. Donations can be dropped off on Friday, March 17, from 3-8 p.m. at the cafeteria.

Town meetings tonight include the Affordable Housing Trust Fund Board (5:30) and Design Review Board (6:30).
