Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.
The plan for a permanent outdoor expansion at Cornell’s Irish Pub will require more details before the Planning Board votes to sign off on it, board members decided Monday. The board voted to have the Design Review Board look at the plans, assuming Cornell’s owners submit more information.
The town released another COVID-19 update, and it has information on the state’s vaccine scheduling resource line for older residents as well as the adjustments the governor made to the temporary occupancy restrictions.
The Hopkinton High School boys and girls indoor track and field teams have been finding ways to be successful during a “weird” season, including training outdoors and sometimes competing virtually against other teams.
This week’s edition of Business Briefs highlights a resident who was made partner at a Boston law firm as well as a pair of advisors from Hopkinton-based Blackstone Valley Wealth Management who continue to receive honors for their work.
The Hopkinton Chinese American Association (HCAA) will recognize the 2021 Lunar New Year with a virtual celebration this Thursday at 8 p.m. According to HCAA organizers, this year’s event will include vocal solos, traditional and modern dances, stand-up comedies, recitation of poems, instrument performance and greetings from Hopkinton families and officials/organizations.
Town meetings tonight include the Select Board (6) and Conservation Commission (7).
