by | Jun 6, 2023 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

According to a statement from members of the Hopkinton Democratic Town Committee’s Executive Committee, longtime HDTC chair Darlene Hayes resigned Monday after being exposed for posting comments on news websites in town under various aliases.

Leading off the HHS Sports Roundup, the HHS baseball team fell into an early hole and could not come back, dropping an 8-4 decision to visiting Marblehead in the Division 2 state tournament on Monday. Boys lacrosse and girls tennis also were ousted from postseason play.

Hopkinton’s Department of Public Works announced the list of streets that are slated for repaving this summer. The DPW also announced that roadwork is scheduled for West Main Street and Wilson Street this week and will require detours.

Town meetings tonight include the Select Board (6), Conservation Commission (7) and Historical Commission (7).
