For those new to the site, this post is a daily update we call Hopkinton Today. We’ll have a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights for the coming day and a video or two to brighten your day.
The Planning Board had a Zoom meeting last night to discuss details regarding the municipal parking lot that is part of the Hopkinton Village Center condominium project and the modular classroom additions to three of the town’s schools. The meeting can be viewed on HCAM.
Town clerk Connor Degan sent out a reminder that his office is encouraging residents to vote by mail in the June 29 Town Election. The form to request an absentee ballot can be accessed here.
Hopkinton’s principal planner is open for virtual drop-in office hours today from 4-6 p.m. via Zoom. Click here for details.
Major League Baseball has been talking about ways to start its season, but the news is not as good for local players, as yesterday the entire American Legion baseball season was canceled. A tweet from the Milford team (which includes some Hopkinton players) indicated that there has been some talk of trying to schedule some unofficial games if it’s determined that it is safe enough.
