by | Oct 31, 2023 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

Last week, the financial picture surrounding the proposed new Grades 2-4 facility on Hayden Rowe Street changed when the Massachusetts School Building Authority voted to increase reimbursement by 31%, bringing its total reimbursement to $61,527,604. This lowers the town’s contribution to $91.2 million for the project.

The Select Board heard a comprehensive presentation on the role of the school resource officer in supporting students at its meeting this past Thursday night.

The latest Professional Insights column from Edward Jones Financial Advisor Mark Freeman focuses on protecting one’s IRA account from a big tax bill.
