Area musicians and aficionados will share their passion for song at the first Ash-Hop Porchfest grassroots music festival, which is taking place in Hopkinton and Ashland on Saturday, Sept. 30.

The annual Hopkinton Family Day is this Saturday at the field behind Hopkinton Middle School, and organizers have released the entertainment schedule.

The Friends of Whitehall‘s fall lake and trail cleanup will be held Saturday, Oct. 21. Participants will gather at the boat landing parking lot at Whitehall State Park on Wood Street and be assigned areas of trails and shoreline around the lake to clean up debris and refuse.
