The Planning Board at its meeting Monday night viewed the new Charleswood Elementary School’s major project site plan and stormwater management permit application, which generated questions about parking and techniques to control water runoff.
Hopkinton Center for the Arts’ Celebrity Spotlight on the Arts fundraising concert returns this year with Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Marc Cohn. The concert will be held Sep. 28 at the Delbridge Family Performance Space.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced that there will be work on the Fruit Street bridge over Interstate 495 in Hopkinton this Wednesday and Thursday, while the the Hopkinton Department of Public Works announced that Winter Street will be temporarily closed on Wednesday to remove some hazardous trees. Drivers should be prepared for detours.
Hopkinton Police Chief Joseph Bennett on Tuesday dished a scoop about a new department initiative that rewards kids performing acts of kindness in the community with ice cream vouchers redeemable at local shops. “Operation Sweet Rewards” began this week and will run until Sept. 3.
The latest Senior Snippets includes information on TED Talks, line dancing, crafts and the Senior Center’s annual Ice Cream Social.
