Hopkinton’s Cumberland Farms ended 2021 with a stroke of good luck. The West Main Street store sold the first $10 million winning ticket in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s $10,000,000 Bonus Wins instant ticket game.
The Select Board held a meeting Tuesday to decide which local organizations would receive a charity number for the 2022 Boston Marathon. The town received 50 numbers from the Boston Athletic Association, which organizes the historic race.
The MetroWest Regional Transit Authority announced that it is temporarily reducing service on three of its lines due to COVID-related staffing shortages. One of the affected lines is Route 5, which runs along Route 135 from the Blandin Avenue Hub in Framingham to the Hopkinton Price Chopper on West Main Street.
The Hopkinton Emergency Fund is holding a fundraiser this Thursday at Uno Pizzeria & Grill in Westborough.
Town meetings tonight include the Upper Charles Trail Committee (5) and Sustainable Green Committee (6).
