Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

The Select Board at its meeting Tuesday night unanimously chose interim Fire Chief Gary Daugherty Jr. as the town’s permanent chief.

The Massachusetts State Police announced that a 19-year-old female from Franklin died Tuesday afternoon after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 495 in Hopkinton.

This week’s Real Estate Transactions list includes three sales, including one of the new homes in the Chamberlain Street development for $1.77 million.

Town meetings today include the Council on Aging (1 p.m.) and Hopkins Lower Middle School Committee (3 p.m.).
