Hopkinton Today: Wednesday, Jan. 31

by | Jan 31, 2024 | Featured: Features,

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

Residents packed the Select Board chamber Tuesday night, spilling into the hallway to show their support for Hopkinton Police Sgt. Tim Brennan and stressing his competence and compassion.

This week’s Real Estate Transactions list shows increased activity in town, with many properties continuing to sell for well over $1 million.

The third annual Family Fling is set for Saturday, March 23, at Hopkinton Town Common. The event, sponsored by the Friends of Hopkinton and the Hopkinton Lions Club, will run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and include food, entertainment and activities.

The next monthly trail volunteer day is this Saturday from 9 a.m.-noon, when volunteers will clean up at the Dickman foundation, across from 57-59 Fruit Street.

Town meetings today include the Conservation Commission (1:30 p.m.).

Photo of the Day: Attendees at a meeting last Thursday pose for a picture after discussing plans to celebrate the 100th start of the Boston Marathon in Hopkinton this year.
