Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.

A Lumber Street couple who previously expressed a desire to expand their ground-mounted solar array revealed plans to start cutting down trees on 6.5 acres of adjoining property that they own, and abutters in the Charlesview Estates neighborhood are not happy about it.

In a strange story that got a lot of attention, a naked couple walking their dog on Hayden Rowe Street early Monday morning were arrested after allegedly first running away and then fighting with police.

The latest Police Log is posted. It includes more details on the naked couple arrest as well as a variety of animal-related calls.

The School Committee will hold office hours this afternoon (1-2). Tonight the Commissioners of Trust Funds meets at 6:30 and the Parks & Recreation Committee meets at 7.

Photo of the Day: What might at first glance appear to be hieroglyphics is just the handiwork of the DPW, filling in cracks on roads across town — in this case, Maple Street.
