Hopkinton Today: Wednesday, June 7

by | Jun 7, 2023 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

At Monday’s School Committee meeting, Superintendent Carol Cavanaugh announced several new hires in leadership positions, including principals at Hopkins and Elmwood as well as an athletic director.

Senior Project Manager Vinod Kalikiri from VHB presented an overview of a traffic study for the proposed new Elmwood School on Monday to the Elementary School Building Committee. He highlighted recommendations on how to mitigate the project’s impact as well as improve traffic flow around the site in general. The traffic study likely will be a key topic of an entirely virtual public forum this Wednesday.

This week’s Real Estate Transactions shows six sales, including three at The Trails of Hopkinton, off Legacy Farms North Road.

Town meetings tonight include the Board of Assessors (5:30), Elementary School Building Committee public forum (6:30), Youth Commission (7) and Trails Coordination & Management Committee (7:30).
