Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.
With COVID restrictions starting to loosen, the Hopkinton Chamber of Commerce’s inaugural Restaurant Week, which starts Friday and runs through May 23, comes at the right time for local dining establishments. There will be deals, specials and prizes — including multiple $50 gift certificates to each of the 13 participating businesses.
Greyhound Friends, the nonprofit greyhound adoption shelter located on Saddle Hill Road, announced that it added three new board members at its recent annual meeting. The organization also announced that it will hold its spring open house on Saturday, June 5.
The Hopkinton Center for the Arts announced that it has received an additional $10,000 to add to its existing scholarship funds for students attending its 2021 summer programs. The additional funds will provide an additional 15-20 students the opportunity to enjoy creative theater, fine art, film, music and dance programs.
Town meetings tonight include the Board of Appeals (7) and Growth Study Committee (7).
