A loving wife, mother and a devoted and adored “Gramma Jean” of Oakhurst Road, Hopkinton, she was loved by all in her neighborhood — kids and animals alike. She loved to visit everyone with her little white dog (among others), Micky.

She will be missed by all who knew her. Jean is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Wilbur D. MacKay of Westboro. She leaves behind three children, Barbara Jean Thorne and husband Richard of Jacksonville, Florida, Fredric C. MacKay and wife Gail of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, and Jennifer Bachman and husband Roland (Joe) of Upton; her grandchildren, Kristin Davis and husband Sheldon, Hilary Banda and husband Christopher, Lindsey Mastroianni and husband Philip, and Caitlyn Albano and husband Joseph. She also leaves eight great grandchildren.

Memorial calling hours will be held Saturday, May 15, from 1-3 p.m. at the Callanan Cronin Funeral Home, 34 Church Street. A funeral service will take place at 3 p.m. in the funeral home. Due to current conditions, face coverings are required.
