by | Oct 2, 2024 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

The principal of Hopkinton High School announced Tuesday morning that the school was ordered to shelter in place after police received a call about an “alleged active shooter” in the building. It was determined to be a hoax.

The Commission on Disability at its meeting Monday unanimously approved the submission of a Community Preservation Committee application for accessibility improvements for the Hopkinton Public Library.

This week’s Senior Snippets includes information on a program about the history of horror and a presentation on helping older adults make the most out of their golden years.

This week’s Move in Style Athlete Spotlight shines on Levi Schuster, a junior on the boys golf team who medaled in five of the Hillers’ first nine matches, helping the team to a 7-2 start.

Residents of all ages and towns are invited to become a Dementia Friend by attending an informational program at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts on Thursday, Oct. 10, from 7-8:30 p.m.
