HPD responds to Jeep rollover crash Wednesday night

by | Mar 20, 2025 | Featured: News, News, Police & Fire

Hopkinton’s police and fire departments responded Wednesday night to a Jeep rollover on Saddle Hill Road that left the road impassible for hours.

“At 8:26 p.m. yesterday, our communications department received a 911 call reporting a rollover crash on Saddle Hill Road,” stated HPD Deputy Chief Scott van Raalten in an email Thursday morning. “Police and Fire units arrived to find a 2021 Jeep Cherokee rolled over in the middle of the road.”

He added that the initial investigation “suggests that the 17-year-old driver struck a tree on Saddle Hill near Clydesdale Lane.”

The driver declined medical treatment, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

HFD also responded to the crash, sending an ambulance and a fire engine to the scene, according to a post on X  shared by the department Wednesday night showing pictures of the upside-down Jeep.
