Jessie Chesbrough

Jessie I Chesbrough, 86, of Marlborough passed away on March 23 at Marlborough Hospital after a period of declining health. Jessie was predeceased by her husband, Philip Chesbrough, in  2005. She also was the wife of the late Joseph R. Roberts.

Jessie was born in North Adams, the daughter of the late John and Ida (Ward) McPhail.

For a number of years, Jessie worked as a secretary at the Marlborough Senior Center.

She leaves behind her sons, Joseph Roberts and his wife, Anne, of Hopkinton, and Richard Roberts and Lisa of Marlborough, a daughter-in-law, Donna Roberts of Marlborough, her grandchildren, Ashley, Matthew, Christopher, David, Gillian, Shawn and Hannah Roberts, and Abby Montague and Lauren Jordan.

She was also predeceased by two sons, David and John Roberts, and two sisters, Helen and Lillian.

Private funeral arrangements were under the direction of William R. Short and Son Funeral Home of Marlborough (www.shortfuneral.com).
