The Human Puzzle: The U in You Workshop
Wednesday, Dec. 15, 7-8:30 p.m.
In this interactive and fun workshop, participants will explore what values are, what values are important to each individual and why, how they shape each individual, and how they may shift over the course of one’s life. At this workshop, attendees can expect to have engaging conversations with fellow participants in a small group setting. Individuals are encouraged to show up with an open mind to learn and prepare to have fun, and leave with a richer understanding of oneself and gain a new perspective.

Adult Craft Night: Linocut Snowflakes
Tuesday, Dec. 28, 7-8 p.m.
At the library’s first in-person adult craft event since its closing, participants will do linocut, an easy introduction to the world of printmaking, using tools to carve their own snowflake stamp. Space is limited. Masks are required at all times. This event is for adults ages 18 and up.

Conversation Circles
Beginning Jan. 12, 1-2 p.m., and Jan. 13, 6-7:30 p.m.
English Language Learners Conversation Circles are designed to provide an opportunity for English Language Learners to practice vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar in a relaxed, comfortable environment. Emphasis will be placed on providing conversation skills that reflect day-to-day life, whether it be a business phone call, a trip to the doctor or simply navigating the grocery store. Flexibility will be emphasized so that the needs of participants can be met. All Conversation Circles will be led by trained community volunteers. Register via the library website.

Friends Annual Meeting
The annual meeting of the Friends of the Hopkinton Public Library will be held on Jan. 5 at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom. All members are invited to attend. The agenda will include the election of officers, approval of the dues structure, and affirmation of regular business. The annual meeting will be followed by the January board meeting. A link for attendance will be posted prior to the meeting on the Friends website (hopkintonlibraryfriends.org).
