Library Corner, Jan. 13 edition

Schedule Update
Due to a spike in COVID-19 cases in town and regionally, the library will be closed to the public until at least Friday, Jan. 22. Library services remain available on a remote/curbside-only basis.

The library’s curbside/remote service hours will continue to be 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Library staff will continue to be available to assist patrons by phone, e-mail and online chat during these hours.

Pickup times should be scheduled in advance by calling the library or using the Schedule Curbside Pickup link under the eServices menu on the right-hand side of the library website, hopkintonlibrary.org.

Anyone interested in checking out library materials but without specific titles in mind is encouraged to use the Quick Picks service. Links to the Quick Picks forms are under the eServices menu on the right-hand side of the library website.

All library services will be closed on Monday, Jan. 18, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Donations are not being accepted at this time.

January Adult Take and Make: Snowflake Cross-Stitch
Materials pickup: Jan. 11, 12, 13
The inaugural adult Take and Make is a fun cross-stitch snowflake. This little embroidery project makes a great ornament or decoration. This class is for ages 16 and up. An accompanying instructional video from one of the librarians will be available on Facebook and YouTube. Register online at bit.ly/34WKQ6U. Space is limited.

Baptiste Power Yoga Class
Monday, Jan. 25, noon
This weekly 30-minute Zoom class, taught by Natasha Linton of Nourish Power Yoga & Ayurveda in Hopkinton, is a vinyasa flow designed to leave participants vitalized and reinvigorated so they can step back into their day recharged. Register on the library’s website calendar.

Chat ‘n’ Chew Book Group
