Library Schedule Update
The library will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 25, and Friday, Nov. 26, for Thanksgiving. The library already is closed every Saturday and Sunday. Library staff wishes everyone a happy and healthy holiday. There also is a possibility of an early closure on Wednesday, Nov. 24. Updates will be posted to the library website.

Conversation Circles

This program will provide an opportunity for English language learners to practice vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar in a fun, comfortable, laid-back environment. Register at the library’s website calendar.

Plants as Muse: Mugwort with Nora Toomey
Tuesday, Dec. 7, 7 p.m. (Zoom)
Mugwort, or Artemisia vulgaris, is a plant that is woven so deeply into the folklore and mythology of countless cultures around the world. It is an ancient plant, rich with story, magic and medicine. In this one-hour class, participants will explore the imagery, deities, planetary rulings and magical properties associated with mugwort and will be led through creative prompts inspired by mugwort that will unleash their own storytelling, poem-writing or art-making power. Participants should bring a notebook and painting, drawing or collage supplies. The first 20 registrants will be able to pick up a pouch of mugwort from the library.
