by | Aug 13, 2025 | News

The Department of Public Works announced Lumber Street will be closed on Monday so crews can remove hazardous rocks.

A stretch of Lumber Street between Granite Street and 249 Lumber Street will be closed from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. for rock removal.

Those who live between 239 Lumber Street and the town line of Milford will need to travel Purchase Street in Milford to Haven Street in order to get back to Lumber Street on Monday. Those that live between Granite Street and 237 Lumber Street will be allowed through.

Residents are advised to seek alternate routes while the work is completed.
