Main Street Corridor Project update: Amorello schedules paving for November

by | Oct 25, 2025 | News

The latest Main Street Corridor Project update released Friday notes that A.F. Amorello & Sons has informed the town of tentative plans to pave Nov. 5-6.

The paving will occur on the west end of the project and include all side streets within the project area. To prepare for paving, all utility structures will be raised to final grade, side street transitions will be milled, driveway aprons will be prepared and the project area will be swept to ensure the roadway is clear. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will inspect the intermediate pavement as well, and electric message boards are to be set up to notify drivers.

Meanwhile, curb and sidewalk repairs continue. Repairs at 30-36 Main Street are on-track for completion. Access to buildings in that area of the project will remain open while work continues. In addition, Verizon will continue its work on transferring all of its overhead lines.

Finally, tree and plant installation began this past week. That work is expected to wrap up by the end of next week.

Weather and other existing conditions may change the projected work schedule. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
