Portion of West Main Street to close overnight Monday, Tuesday

The Department of Public Works announced that a part of West Main Street will close Monday and Tuesday night to accommodate repair work.

According to a notice from the DPW, Eversource plans to repair a manhole in front of Cumberland Farms on West Main Street, near the Interstate 495 interchange. Work is scheduled from 7 p.m.-5 a.m. Monday and Tuesday night.

During working hours, the right lane eastbound will be closed. Police details will be in place to help direct traffic around the work zone.

Drivers are encouraged to prepare for delays and seek alternate routes during the scheduled work hours.
