Main Street Corridor Project update: Comcast cut-over service delayed, anticipated to complete this month

by | Jul 18, 2025 | Featured: News, News

The town’s latest Main Street Corridor Project update released Friday shared that a delay in services has pushed back cut-over work by Comcast, while AT&T still is on track to complete work by mid-July.

Verizon is expected onsite next week to transfer current equipment on poles, place new fiber and remove old poles. An anticipated completion date has not yet been provided.

A.F. Amorello & Sons is anticipated to mobilize fully once the utility work is complete. The construction company will assist Dagle Electric with utility work at the corner of Meserve Street and Main Street on Thursday.

Finally, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation is reviewing additional landscaping changes to the project. Comments will be sent to the town and Amorello upon completion.

Weather and other existing conditions may change the projected work schedule. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
