Main Street Corridor Project update: Eastbound detour all week

As part of the Main Street Corridor Project this week, the eastbound detour from Pleasant Street to Maple Street to Grove Street will be used from Monday to Friday. The eastbound detour from Grove Street to Maple Street to Hayden Rowe Street may be used as needed.

On the east side of the project, crews will work on service connections to buildings between Muffin House Cafe and Hayden Rowe Street. Connections inside buildings will take place at a future date. Workers also will lower manholes and other structures in the road between Muffin House Cafe and Ash Street in preparation for full-depth excavation, and begin removal of curbing and sidewalks between Muffin House Cafe and Ash Street.

On the west side of the project, crews will continue curb and sidewalk work from West Main Street toward the Fire Station, and prepare stone wall footing at 2 and 5 West Main Street. These tasks are weather-dependent.

Working hours for the Main Street Corridor Project are 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. No detours, one-lane closures or road closures are allowed from 7-9 a.m.
