Main Street Corridor Project update: Eastbound detours all week

by | Jun 11, 2023 | Business, News

As part of the Main Street Corridor Project this week, the eastbound detour from Grove Street to Maple Street to Hayden Rowe Street will be used Monday through Friday. The eastbound detour from Pleasant Street to Maple Street to Hayden Rowe Street might be needed for one day while sidewalk work is taking place in front of 67-69 Main Street.

On the east side of the project, workers will continue installation of conduit and bases for site lighting from Muffin House Cafe to Ash Street (work will take place in the excavated sidewalk area). Additionally, crews will work on installation of the granite curb from the Muffin House Cafe to Ash Street.

On the west side of the project, sidewalk work is scheduled for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Site wide, Eversource representatives will pull underground wiring at various locations.

Working hours for the Main Street Corridor Project are 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. No detours, one-lane closures or road closures are allowed from 7-9 a.m.

This schedule may change due to weather and existing conditions found while performing the planned tasks. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
