Main Street Corridor Project update: Verizon work nears completion, curb and pavement work planned

by | Oct 9, 2025 | News

The town’s latest Main Street Corridor Project update released Wednesday announced that Verizon is on track to complete its work by the end of October.

Verizon reached an agreement with the town back in August and committed to be on-site our days per week until work was complete. The company has been moving wires and pulling poles as it moves its utilities underground. Crews will be removing a utility pole causing conflict on the west side of the project next week.

A.F. Amorello & Sons will mobilize next week and begin work on the curb and sidewalk on the west side of the project. The construction company plans to pave the west side of the project at the end of October. The town anticipates paving at the intersection and the east side of the project will commence next spring.

Other upcoming work includes placing the banner pole in front of Town Hall once wires removed. Landscaping is scheduled to start around Oct. 20.

Weather and other existing conditions may change the projected work schedule. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
