Matthew Westbury

Matthew J. Westbury, 26, died Dec. 27. He is survived by his loving parents, Jim and Jeanne (Martens) Westbury, a younger brother, Drew Westbury, and a younger sister, Eliza Westbury, all of Hopkinton, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins within the family.

Matthew was born in Milford on Dec. 2, 1994. He was a lifelong Hopkinton resident, attended school there, and as a youth was active in town athletic programs. He excelled at basketball and loved everyone around him while playing it. At the time of his passing, Matt was a merchandising agent at Lowe’s.

Matt had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. He loved animals immensely, enjoyed drawing, was an avid reader, and closely followed politics and current events.

Matt’s funeral is a graveside service on Monday, Jan. 4, at 11 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, Whitinsville. There are no calling hours. Services are under the care of the Carr Funeral Home in Whitinsville.
