Veterans stand and salute during the playing of taps and the raising of the American flag.

Hopkinton held its Memorial Day services on May 27. Wreaths were placed to honor deceased veterans at Evergreen Cemetery, St. John’s Cemetery and Mt. Auburn Cemetery as well as in front of memorials at the Town Common, where the event concluded with patriotic music from the Hopkinton High School band, a gun salute, remarks from town officials and a reading of the Gettysburg Address.
