Paul J. Murcko Jr.

Paul J. Murcko, Jr., 96, of Hopkinton and formerly Bridgeport, CT, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018 at Golden Pond in Hopkinton. He was the son of the late Anna (Slozar) and Paul Murcko. He was the husband of Theresa (Corso) Murcko of Hopkinton.

Born and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Paul was one of nine children. He served in the Navy as an Aviation Ordinance man Second Class from 1943-1946, and later worked as a Foreman for Sikorsky Aircraft. Paul took pleasure in following the Space Program and had an interest in the latest science innovations. An avid gardener, Paul was also an amateur artist, lifetime baseball fan, chess player, and classical music enthusiast.

Besides his wife, Paul is survived by his children, Paul Murcko of Hopkinton, Nancy Petitti of San Diego, CA. and Mark Murcko and his wife, Katherine of Holliston.  He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Matthew and his wife, Sadie of NYC, and Timothy Murcko of San Mateo, CA.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Holliston. A memorial service took place on Monday, Oct. 29th at 10:00 a.m. at Golden Pond in Hopkinton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave, Waltham, MA 02451 or heart.org or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O.
