Photos: Coutinho hosts Appreciation Lunch for first responders

Former Select Board vice chair John Coutinho hosted a drive-through Appreciation Lunch on Wednesday for local first responders.

The event was held at a home on Grove Street that Coutinho is rehabbing. Individuals were invited to pull onto the circular driveway, where they were offered items from a grill along with snacks and drinks.

“Pull up, eat up and accept our thanks for a job well done every day,” Coutinho wrote in his invitation. “You are always here for us and we will always be here for you.”

Coutinho texted afterward that about 45 individuals were fed, and food and drinks were sent to the departments for those who could not attend. He added that he’s planning another event next week for anyone who might have been on vacation.
