The South Asian Circle of Hopkinton hosted Rhythms and Raagas on Saturday at the DoubleTree Hotel in Westborough to celebrate Diwali and other South Asian festivals. The event was a musical theater “throwing a spotlight on key traditions and rituals surrounding festivals originating from South Asia that are celebrated by many immigrant communities across the globe, creating and leaving behind a rich fabric of subcultures for future generations to observe.” The event was co-funded by Mass Cultural Council through its Festivals and Projects grant.

The South Asian Circle of Hopkinton held its GlamJam Diwali Gala at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts on Saturday. The event, co-funded by Mass Cultural Council, included an interactive performance from Boston Bhangra, Bollywood music and dance and a buffet dinner.
