State primary in-person voting begins early Tuesday morning at Hopkinton Middle School’s Brown Gym.

For primary elections, voters registered in a political party may only obtain a ballot for that party. Unenrolled/independent voters must request the ballot of the party they wish to vote for when they check in with poll workers.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. All precincts vote at the middle school, located at 88 Hayden Rowe Street.

Two major races in each party will be decided in Tuesday’s elections. Incumbent Ed Markey faces Rep. Seth Moulton in the race to become the Democratic candidate for U.S. senator. On the Republican ballot, Michael Minogue and Brian Shortsleeve are battling for the chance to face Gov. Maura Healey in the state election in November.
