The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced that construction operations will take place overnight Tuesday for the Interstate 90 (Exit 106) ramp connecting I-90 eastbound and westbound to I-495 southbound.
Work will begin at 11 p.m. Tuesday and will conclude by 5 a.m. on Wednesday. During this time, traffic will be directed to follow the detour signs and use I-495 northbound to exit 59B (Route 9 westbound), to reverse direction back to I-495 southbound.
Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed and use caution. There will be appropriate signage, law enforcement details and messaging in place to guide drivers through the work area.
“This work is weather permitting and subject to change,” noted MassDOT in a statement. ”If weather postpones work Tuesday night into Wednesday, crews will plan to do the work from Wednesday night into Thursday morning.”
