Ramp closures at I-90/I-495 interchange planned for Wednesday

by | Jul 19, 2026 | News

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will close two ramps at the Interstate 90/Interstate 495 interchange in Hopkinton Wednesday night to facilitate construction operations.

Both the I-90 eastbound ramp to I-495 northbound (Exit 106) and the I-495 northbound off-ramp to I-90 (Exit 58) will be closed Wednesday night. Work begins at 11 p.m. and concludes at 5 a.m. the following morning.

When the I-90 eastbound ramp (Exit 106) is closed, traffic will be directed to follow detour signs on to I-495 southbound. Traffic can reverse direction back to I-495 northbound from West Main Street (Exit 54A).

For the closure at the I-495 northbound ramp, drivers will be directed up to Route 9 westbound (Exit 59B) to reverse direction and access I-90 via I-495 southbound.

Appropriate signage and law enforcement details will be in place. Drivers should anticipate delays and exercise caution while traveling through work zones.

For more information on traffic conditions, drivers can visit the Mass511 website, which features travel times and real-time traffic.
