Ramp closures at I-90/I-495 interchange start Wednesday

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced overnight ramp closures at the Interstate 90/Interstate-495 interchange will take place later this week.

The I-495 northbound ramp to I-90 eastbound and westbound (Exit 58) will be closed starting Wednesday night and continue through Friday. During the closure, drivers will directed to follow detour signs north on I-495 to Route 9 West (Exit 59B). From there, drivers can reverse direction on I-495 southbound to Exit 58.

Appropriate signage and law enforcement details will be in place. Drivers should anticipate delays and exercise caution while traveling through work zones. Work begins at 11 p.m. on scheduled days and concludes at 5 a.m. the following morning.

For more information on traffic conditions, drivers can visit the Mass511 website, which features travel times and real-time traffic.
