by | Oct 3, 2024 | Featured: News, News

The Department of Public Works announced roadwork on East Main Street and Wood Street will begin Monday.

The work involves milling and repaving stretches of each road. The DPW will be paving a section of East Main Street from Ray Street to Wilson Street.

The Wood Street work extends from Elm Street to 19 Wood Street.

Repaving on East Main Street will occur Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Crews will begin working at 7 a.m. each day.

The DPW will be out on Wood Street from Tuesday through Thursday, with a tentative workday on Monday. All construction will end at 3 p.m., though start times vary.

During construction on East Main Street, two lanes of travel will remain open.

Traffic on Wood Street will be detoured during the scheduled work hours, with eastbound traffic routed up Elm Street.

Residents should expect delays and plan accordingly. Dates and times may change depending on weather conditions. Additional information can be found on the Highway Department’s website.
