Schools Notebook: HHS team earns spot on ‘High School Quiz Show’; locals honored at Keefe Tech

Hopkinton High School will be one of 17 teams to take part in the 12th season of WGBH-TV’s “High School Quiz Show,” which starts in April. Hopkinton will face off against two-time defending champion Boston Latin in a match that will air on WGBH and YouTube on April 17 at 6 p.m.

Hopkinton qualified for the competition by recording one of the highest scores during a virtual “Super Sunday” qualifying quiz on Jan. 24.

Residents make Keefe Tech honor roll

Keefe Tech, a regional technical high school in Framingham, announced its honor roll for the first term, and a number of Hopkinton residents earned spots on it. Junior Jake Shepard and freshman Sean Miniman received high honors, while seniors Gabrielle Buentello and Josvardo Gomez, junior Alexis Manchester, sophomore Nicholas Souza and freshmen Da-Neil Anderson, Bennett Kazanjian and William Moore received honors. …

Hopkinton’s Jonathan Bouvier was named to the high honors list for the fall term at Pomfret School, an independent college preparatory school in Pomfret, Connecticut.

HHS Class of ’23 sells lawn signs

The HHS Class of 2023 is selling “Hopkinton Strong” lawn signs to raise revenue and foster spirit within the community. Signs are $20 apiece.
