Select Board considers proposal to move Town Meeting, Town Election back 5 days

by | Mar 19, 2021 | Featured: News, News

The Select Board has called a meeting for Tuesday in which it will continue the discussion from its previous meeting about moving Annual Town Meeting.

The proposal before the board is to shift Town Meeting from Monday, May 3, to Saturday, May 8. Also to be addressed is the location. At the last meeting it was discussed moving the meeting from Hopkinton Middle School’s auditorium to either the high school football field or indoor athletic center, both of which would allow for better social distancing.

Town Election also would move back five days, from Monday, May 17, to Saturday, May 22.
