Town officials announced early Thursday morning that all town offices and schools — with the exception of public safety — are physically closed due to the impending storm.
“Employees capable of working remotely will be available and checking email, so remote services are open. Stay Safe!” the town shared via email.
Snow started falling in town around 7:30 a.m. A wintry mix is expected throughout the day, with the snow changing to light freezing rain and sleet in the afternoon, ending around 3 p.m. About 1-3 inches of snow and ice accumulation is anticipated.
Another storm is expected this weekend, starting Saturday night and continuing into Sunday morning. Forecasts predict 6-10 inches of snow.
