Tropical Storm Isaias takes down trees, wires in Hopkinton

As Tropical Storm Isaias moved through the Northeast on Tuesday, Hopkinton felt its effects in the late afternoon/early evening, with heavy winds and intermittent rain.

By 6 p.m., the Hopkinton Fire Department reported via Twitter that it had received reports of 11 incidents of downed trees or trees on wires/poles. The department suggested residents charge their mobile and cellular devices in the event of a power outage.
