Water main on Hayden Rowe Street to shut down Wednesday morning

by | Jul 21, 2026 | Featured: News, News

A portion of the water main on Hayden Rowe Street will be shut down Wednesday morning, according to the Water-Sewer Department.

In a notice to residents, Water-Sewer Manager Jed Fenneuff stated that a water main on Hayden Rowe Street will be shut down from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday as part of an ongoing road reconstruction project. The main will be shut off between 103-139 Hayden Rowe Street.

“The shutdown is being performed to allow the contractor to extend a hydrant lateral to the edge of the road,” Fenneuff explained.

Residents who experience discoloration can resolve the issue by flushing the cold water pipes in their homes. Doing so allows trapped sediments to be released.

Discolored water is safe to drink, but the town does not recommend using it for washing laundry.

For more information, visit the Water-Sewer Department’s website or call 508-497-9765.
