‘A Night on the French Riviera’ gala hosted by Hopkinton CC Charitable Foundation

by | Oct 25, 2018 | Featured

In 2010, Hopkinton Country Club’s general manager and a group of its members established a charitable foundation, the HCCCF, to give back to surrounding communities. Over the last eight years, the foundation has contributed over $750,000 to local organizations that support youth and families with the greatest needs.

Its largest fundraiser, the fall evening gala, will take place Saturday, Nov. 10, with the theme of “A Night on the French Riviera.” The ninth annual event will feature Provencal cuisine, dancing at the “HCCCF Yacht Party,” the Monte Carlo experience, and a silent and live auction. This year’s 2018 Spotlight Grantee is the Milford Daily Bread Food Pantry — an organization with programs that include feeding the hungry, providing winter coats for those in need, and helping homeless teenagers through support and mentoring.

“We are proud to have supported [Manager] Cheryl DeAngelo and the Milford Daily Bread Food Pantry since 2016 and thought it would be incredible to show our HCCCF supporters how much we believe in the good that they do for the community,” said HCCCF President Jeremy Hartman.

Opened in 1991, the pantry serves between 40 and 60 local families a week and operates solely through the work of more than 150 volunteers. The HCCCF has partnered with them since 2016.

“Due to the generosity of the HCCCF, the Daily Bread Food Pantry is able to provide to our poor brothers and sisters clothing for homeless teens, hams and turkeys for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter meals,” DeAngelo said. “We deeply appreciate the generosity shown by all the members of the HCC Charitable Foundation.”

This year, proceeds from the gala will also benefit many other local Metrowest charitable organizations that embody its mission to support youth and families through economic assistance and youth development.

In the past some of the major grantees have been Mazie Mentoring and Bethany Hill Place in Framingham, Project Just Because, Ashland Teen Emergency, Straight Ahead Ministries and Natick Service Council.

Tickets are $100 and can be purchased online at https://hcccfgala2018.eventbrite.com. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and about 175-200 people are expected to attend. For those unable to attend donations are accepted online at www.hopkintoncccf.org/give/.
