Project Just Because announced earlier this year that it planned to move into its own facility after its lease expires at its current location next fall. PJB has its sights set on a building just down South Street from where it currently houses is food pantry and warehouse.
Now the organization is seeking help from the community to raise the funds needed to make the move.
“We are looking for a state-of-the-art facility, a facility that [PJB] will own, the home we need to expand our mission for years to come. But we cannot do it alone!” said Cherylann Lambert Walsh, the organization’s founder and president. “We need to purchase a new space. As it is, one-third of our operating costs go to rent, which only goes up. Our lease expires in September 2022. We want to move into our very own 14,400-square foot building with a supermarket-style layout, designed to meet the needs of our communities.”
Added Lambert Walsh: “September 2022 may seem far away, but really it’s just around the corner. Any donation will be very appreciated.”
PJB has helped over 40,000 Massachusetts struggling families in their times of greatest need by supplying basic necessities from their programs at no cost to recipients. The nonprofit is dedicated to serving as many men, women and children as possible in a caring and dignified environment.
